Admission Arrangements
Admission to our voluntary aided school is determined by the Governing Body of Childwall Church of England Primary School.
For the annual Reception intake, the Governing Body follows the co-ordinated admissions arrangements and equal preference scheme determined by the Local Authority. All admissions decisions are formally agreed by the Governing Body.
Parents and carers applying for a Reception place are required to complete two application forms:
- The Local Authority online application or preference form issued by Children and Young People’s Services, naming the school as a preference
- The school’s Supplementary Application Form
Both forms must be completed for an application to be considered.
The school’s Published Admission Number (PAN) is 60 pupils, organised into two classes per year group.
All admissions enquiries and requests for appeals documentation should be directed to:
admissions@childwallce.com

Visits to School
All scheduled open days for this academic year have now taken place. However, we are always happy to arrange a school tour on request. Please contact the school office for further information.
Applications for an In-Year Transfer
An In-Year Transfer is when parents or carers apply for their child to move from one primary school to another during the school year, rather than at the normal points of entry.
If the relevant year group is full, an application will usually be refused. In this case, parents or carers may request that their child’s name is added to the waiting list, which is maintained by the Admissions Committee of the Governing Body.
Where there are more applications than available places in a year group, places will be allocated in line with the school’s admissions policy, which sets out the criteria used to determine priority for admission.
