Extra Curricular at Childwall CE Primary
At Childwall, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our wide range of extra-curricular clubs gives children opportunities to explore new interests, develop their talents and enjoy spending time with others in a fun and supportive environment.
An important part of our extra-curricular offer is the involvement of our Year 6 Subject Ambassadors. Working alongside staff, our ambassadors help to support and lead activities linked to their chosen subject areas. They may help to organise resources, demonstrate activities, encourage younger pupils and share their own enthusiasm and expertise.
Taking on these responsibilities gives our Year 6 pupils valuable opportunities to develop their independence, confidence and leadership skills. They learn how to communicate clearly, take responsibility, work as part of a team and become positive role models for younger children.
Through our clubs and Subject Ambassador programme, we aim to give pupils opportunities not only to discover new interests, but also to lead, inspire and contribute to our wider school community.

Further opportunities
KS2 Choir – Tuesdays after school. Our esteemed school choir has performed in such venues as Liverpool One, All Saints Church, Anglican Cathedral, M&S Bank Arena and Coventry Cathedral. Speak to Miss Wikeley for more information.
Stay and Read – Tuesdays after school in the library. Children and grown-ups of all ages welcome! Speak to Mr Gillin for more information.
Year 6 Drama Club – coming soon! Past productions include Rock Bottom, Star Warts, Pirates of the Currybean and Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies. Speak to Mrs Carew for more information.
