Welcome to Childwall Church of England Primary School.

Childwall CE Primary School is a place with a proud and deeply meaningful history. Care, compassion and service to others have always been at the heart of who we are. Our school began life with a precious and profound purpose — as a children’s orphanage — offering safety, nurture and hope to those who needed it most. That legacy of love and care continues to shape everything we do today.

Our Christian vision is rooted in the words from Luke’s Gospel:

“And the child grew and became strong.”

Inspired by the life and teachings of Christ, this vision sits at the very heart of our school. We believe that every child is known, valued and loved, and that it is our responsibility to nurture the whole child — mind, body and spirit.

At Childwall, we support children to grow in every sense of the word. We place great importance on building strong foundations, equipping children with the essential skills, knowledge and values they need to flourish. Guided by Christ’s example of compassion, service and respect for others, we also encourage children to learn beyond the classroom and to experience the wider world. Through enriching trips, clubs and varied opportunities, children are supported to discover their gifts, develop resilience and grow in confidence and character.

Our staff are welcoming, committed and deeply dedicated to the children in their care. We are proud to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence for the Inclusion Quality Mark, reflecting our Christian commitment to inclusion, dignity and the belief that every child matters and belongs.
