Inclusion Quality Mark

What is the Inclusion Quality Mark?

The Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) is a nationally recognised award that celebrates schools which demonstrate outstanding practice in inclusion. It focuses on how well schools support all pupils, including those with additional needs, disabilities, or other barriers to learning, while promoting equality, wellbeing and high expectations for everyone.

IQM is not a one-off award. It is a process of ongoing reflection, review and improvement, ensuring that inclusive practice remains at the heart of school life.

As of December 2025, we are proud to have been reaccredited as a Centre of Excellence for the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM). This recognises our continued commitment to inclusion and to ensuring that every child in our school is valued, supported and able to flourish.

Why IQM Matters to Schools

Achieving and maintaining IQM shows that inclusion is embedded in our ethos, policies and daily practice. It recognises that:

  • Every child is respected, valued and supported\n

  • Pupils are encouraged to succeed academically, socially and emotionally

  • Staff work together to remove barriers to learning

  • Strong partnerships exist with parents, carers and external professionals

  • Inclusion supports positive behaviour, wellbeing and a sense of belonging

Being a Centre of Excellence means that our inclusive practice has been recognised as a model for others, and that we are committed to sharing good practice and continuing to develop our provision.

Our Commitment

Our reaccreditation reflects the dedication of our staff, pupils and families in creating a school community where diversity is celebrated and every child is encouraged to be the very best they can be.
