Agents for Change

Agents for Change – 2025-2026

In Childwall Church of England Primary School, we pride ourselves on having our very own ‘Agents for Change’ who are ambassadors and voices on behalf of our children. Our Agents for Change were selected following a class vote after each candidate wrote a letter explaining why they wanted to take on the role. This process provided the children with the opportunity to demonstrate their passion for taking on a commitment to make a positive difference within our school community and enabled them to be selected by their peers to represent their class.

During the Autumn Term, the Agents for Change have worked with enthusiasm, responsibility and compassion, taking on a range of meaningful roles both in school and beyond. One of their first acts of service was representing our school with great respect on Remembrance Day. They attended our local church on behalf of the school to lay a wreath of poppies, honouring those who served in the war whilst showing our commitment to remembrance and reflection.

During the festive season, the Agents for Change led a whole-school Christmas card competition. They worked collaboratively to judge the entries and carefully discussed which design would best represent our school when sent out to the community. The children particularly liked an entry that centred on the Christmas story, featuring a beautiful nativity illustration alongside a meaningful Bible quote, which they felt truly captured the spirit of Christmas.

The Agents for Change also organised a Reverse Advent Calendar, a whole-school initiative focused on helping others during the festive period. They encouraged everyone to think about giving rather than receiving by donating items to those in need. Each class was allocated a specific day during Advent to bring in food or toiletry donations for South Liverpool Food Bank. The Agents for Change raised awareness by creating posters for their allocated classes whilst also providing gentle reminders in the lead-up to donation days. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the initiative was a huge success, resulting in many generous donations just before Christmas.

The Agents for Change also gathered pupil voice this term by asking their classes how some of the money raised at the Christmas school fayre could be used to have a positive impact on school life. Their thoughtful discussions will help support school leaders in making the upcoming decisions that reflect the views of our pupils.

Finally, the Agents for Change did us extremely proud this term by meeting with the Inclusion Assessor during our IQM review. The children confidently shared the wonderful work they have been doing and the impact it has had so far and spoke about upcoming ideas they have to support our school community and beyond in future.

We are incredibly proud of our Agents for Change and all the hard work, kindness and commitment they have shown this term in making a positive difference within our school and the wider community.
